STEP 4: USE DATA TO IMPROVE AND SPREAD.

Request regular feedback from all of the stakeholders in your program, including Student Consultants and participating teachers. You can use paper exit cards or evaluating forms, Google Form surveys, or data already collected by your school site (for instance, Youth Truth survey results) to evaluate your program's growth areas.

Also consider how to spread your work: can your Student Consultants present their work to sister schools? Can you attend a conference to share your work together?

IN PRACTICE

At High Tech Middle Chula Vista, teachers fill out evaluation forms after participating in tunings. So far in our work, Student Consultants earned a helpfulness rating of 3.7 out of 4 (with 19 total tuning evaluations). Student Consultants meet all together as a Student Consulting team mid-year and at the end of the year to analyze our data and plan next steps over pizza.

We spread our work with a student-led workshop on Student Consulting at the Deeper Learning 2017 conference and are now planning an organization-wide roundtable to spread our work within the High Tech High organization.
